Deborah started her professional career as a medical imaging specialist while managing the surgery schedules for a prominent New York Orthopedic surgeon. After 11 years, Deb decided to follow her true passion, interior design.
In 2002 the boutique firm of Form & Function Interior Design was launched while Deborah was a second-year design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. A close friend and dentist asked Deb to design her new office space and the rest is history, with over 600 specialty dental offices completed in the New York Tri-state area and farther afield, including the Carolinas and Florida. Today the firm provides interior design services to the Dental, Medical, Hospitality, Health & Wellness and residential communities.
When I work on a project, I am not simply designing a workspace; I aspire to create a space that echoes the culture and identity that my client wishes to promote to the outside world.
A properly designed office is an invitation from a professional to their clientele, to experience a world according to their vision. My mission above all else is to provide my clients with not only a professionally designed office space but also with a collaborative design experience that reflects their spatial requirements and design aspirations.
Most importantly, my designs are not about my individual preferences. Designing an office is an incredibly personal process; my clients entrust their vision to me and I strive to make it a reality.
Form & Function Interior Design has its origins in New York, but our recent move to southern California has expanded our market to include clients in San Diego, Los Angeles and beyond. Wherever you are, we can come to you.
